The 37- kilometres long Qazvin-Rasht rail link, whicThe Indo-Pacific region, linking the Indian Ocean with the Pacific Ocean and the Asia-Pacific, is a key hub for global economic and geopolitical activities. With some of the fastest-growing economies, its importance is catalysed by great power competition, mainly between the United States and China, focusing on economic influence, military presence, and control of maritime routes. The emerging geopolitical competition is marked by new formulations like the Quad to counter China’s assertiveness. In this new strategic environment, India plays a pivotal role, marked by its strategic location, shared democratic values, growing economic power and military strength to contribute to regional stability.
